DCS: Spitfire LF Mk.IX and DCS: Normandy 1944 Map Updates
DCS World War II has two great updates this week! The first is the addition of several new features to the Spitfire. These include a new clipped wing version, slipper and torpedo fuel tanks, the ability to carry bombs, and continued to refinements to the flight dynamics. Together, these new features give the Spitfire longer legs and a more diverse mission capability. With these additions, we are pleased to announce that the Spitfire is now feature complete and out of early access.

DCS World Update
This week we released an DCS 2.5.2 Update 4 the focuses on the Hornet and DCS World foundation improvements. It is our primary focus create a solid foundation for the Hornet, from which we will only then start add new sensors and weapons.

DCS World War II News
In commemoration of the June 1944 D-Day landings, we have several DCS World War II updates we’d like to bring you. We see DCS World War II as a very important component of DCS World and it will continue to grow with new features, content, and numerous improvements. We are just getting started.
Normandy 1944 Map for DCS World Update
Working with the Ugra Media, the developer or the Normandy map, we will be releasing a free update to this map in June. This map is the ideal battleground for our warbirds that focuses on northern France in the summer on 1944.
We are excited to announce that the Persian Gulf Map for DCS World is now available for download. This is our first modern-day combat theater outside of the Caucasus map, and it will provide many interesting and engaging historical and hypothetic scenarios. DCS: F/A-18C Hornet and Persian Gulf Map for DCS World Update
As we rapidly approach the release of the Hornet and Persian Gulf map this month, we are now pleased to announce the exact release dates. We will first release the Persian Gulf Map for DCS World on 23 May 2018 and then DCS: F/A-18C Hornet on 30 May 2018! We will release both this month as promised.
In order to meet your expectations for the Hornet early access release, we decided to move the Hornet release to shortly after the Persian Gulf Map release. Items we still need to complete are:
Completed radar-directed AA Gun, AIM-9, and AIM-7 symbology
AUTO bombing mode
Radar contacts on the Electronic Warfare (EW) Page
The Moving Map
We believe these are all vital for a great early access release.
