DCS World 2.0.5 Update 1
Today we will be updating DCS World 2.0.5. The primary feature of this update includes the integration of Leatherneck Simulation’s DCS: AJS-37 Viggen into DCS World 2.0. A roaring Viggen down the Las Vegas strip is a site to behold!
In addition to the Viggen, this update also includes many new improvements. Please see changelog in the DCS forum.
DCS: Normandy 1944 Map Live Stream
We have decided it would be best to delay the live stream a bit to come very shortly after the start of the Normandy map pre-purchase and the release of the amazing trailer video that “Glowing Amraam” is working on. We feel the live stream and Q&A will be much more appropriate and useful after the pre-purchase beings. Jatka lukemista
Normandy 1944 Map Update
When we started the DCS World War II series, we realized that one of the most important aspects of the series will be a great set of period maps to support the aircraft. Our first effort in this direction has been the Normandy 1944 map. Although originally scoped to just include the immediate area around the Normandy landing areas, the product has grown based on customer feedback and to create a great single player and multiplayer environment. This has taken the us in the following directions:
A-10C: Stone Shield Campaign Available
The A-10C: Stone Shield campaign is a story-driven campaign that puts you in the cockpit of an A-10C Warthog as a USAF pilot assigned to the 445th Air Expeditionary Wing. In 2015 Abkhazia, South Ossetia and Russia have announced the start of the “Caucasus-2015” military exercise. Intelligence analysis later reveals that the exercises is actually cover for Russia forces repositioning to the Abkhazian territory and further escalating tensions in the Caucasus region. The 445th Air Expeditionary Wing and the 6th mechanized brigade have been deployed to Georgia as a response by NATO to counter Russia’s military aggression against its peaceful neighbor.
In one week, on 27 January 2017, we will launch the Early Access of DCS: AJS-37 Viggen by Leatherneck Simulations! Leatherneck has created this masterpiece for DCS World, and we believe it will wonderfully fill role as a strike and anti-ship platform. Over the past couple of weeks, several preview videos of the Viggen have been released. Here are some of our favorites:

Hi everyone, and welcome to our December 2016 Community A-4E update. This month’s theme is Merry Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrtmas.
However, before we get to the fun stuff, a quick announcement… DrMarianus has decided to step away from the team for a while, as he’s got too many other ongoing projects that need his attention right now. He’s been a good member of our team since the beginning and we wish him all the best!
First, a short list of the smaller refinements and improvements…
Unwrap and texture for the landing gear (this had to be re-done completely due to unwrap changes)
Fix for the pitch and yaw trim indicators, along with our own custom trim system and horizontal stabilizer animation to match. This makes level flight much easier at all speeds, independent of elevator and rudder authority in the SFM
Fix for rocket alignment to gunsight angle when attached to pylons 2, 3 or 4
Fix for the gunsight night/day modes and brightness knob
More cockpit control panel texturing, to get ready for system implementation
In addition to the above fixes, we finally are able to show off some of our modeling work, which is mostly in the weapons category. Jatka lukemista
Early Access Release of DCS: Spitfire LF Mk. IX
Today we are proud to bring you the Early Access Spitfire LF Mk. IX! Many pilots that have flown several World War II warbirds remark that the Spitfire was their favorite, based on its exceptional maneuverability, easy of flight, and stunning looks. We think that you will agree!
