The Community A-4E-C Mod is the culmination of nearly three years of work on behalf of seven driven team members and many vital advisors. We’re proud to present the most comprehensive DCS Mod to date, boasting such capabilities as Air to Ground Radar and Carrier Operations. The A-4 was a cold war workhorse, providing a capable, reliable light attack aircraft to dozens of nations around the world. From the Sinai Desert to the Jungles of Vietnam, the A-4 was a common sight above cold war battlefields.
We thank the community for their support over the years, through good times and bad. This work has been a journey with many faces along the way, and we dedicate it to our friend, mentor and lead coder Eric “Gosapadin” Mudama. His passion and brilliance left a mark on us all, and we are proud to share with you this labor of love which would not have been possible without him. Jatka lukemista
Celebrating Three Years Over Nevada!
Three years ago, we released the DCS: NEVADA Test and Training Range map. Since then, it exited Early Access and has received many updates, including a massive one two years ago that included 14 new airfields; new towns and cities; additional landmarks; and expanded, detailed texture area. Just as important, the map has been home to a huge amount of content that includes numerous missions and 10 campaigns. The Nevada map has provided a very interesting blend of desert aerial combat in the form of Red Flag Campaigns, Weapons Training, and Aggressors Training, with “fun” flying through Las Vegas, the Hoover Dam and other interesting locations.
We’re happy to present to you this new Nevada map video that celebrates three years of Nevada flying!

The WWII assets pack continues to grow, and the next ground unit will be the M10 ”Wolverine” tank destroyer. Produced by the US starting in September 1942, the M10 was the most important US tank destroyer of the war.
DCS World Open Beta Update
This week’s update to the DCS World Open Beta includes such highlights as:
Improvements to the new MiG-29 flight model, engine performance, new pylons, and corrected M1.6 engine stall
While new Hornet features and fixes like the Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System (JHMCS), FPAS page, laser Maverick, and corrected air-to-air radar B-sweep are still on track to be ready next week, we need to adhere to our Open Beta release schedule and have time for proper internal-testing of these complex items. As such, these will be released in the next, scheduled Open Beta release on 7 November 2018.

DCS World Open Beta 2.5 Hotfix and Release Version
This week we released a second Open Beta update to address issues that some users encountered with the new, default controller profiles. Theses default profiles are now only used for a newly installed module, or the user manually loads them as a profile. Our next controller to add default profiles for will be the VKB Gunfighter Mk.II. Our goal is to have default controller profiles for all popular controllers.
We are slowly approaching the middle of October, summer is long gone, and ahead of us we can already see a glimpse of winter. But before that comes, we would like to give you a brief update on our development situation.
The programmers’ focus and attention is full steam directly aimed at the MiG-21Bis development for Modern Air Combat. Progress should not take longer than a month and they are already at 40% completion.
The DCS: F-14 Tomcat by Heatblur Simulations is now available for pre-purchase with a $10 discount. Early Access release of a feature-complete F-14B will be this winter.
The Grumman F-14 Tomcat was a two-crew, variable geometry, maritime air superiority fighter that served with the US Navy for 32 years and continues to serve with the IRIAF in Iran. The F-14 was the US Navy’s frontline fighter from the 1970s until the mid-2000s. Over the course of its long service life it also became the US Navy’s premier precision ground-attack platform and lone airborne reconnaissance asset. Jatka lukemista
